Charter Oak International Partners, LLC (“COIP”) was formed in 2005 by Anthony J. Dowd and Robert P. Sarrazin to advise, invest and actively manage small to mid-sized companies in niche manufacturing, medical products and services, consumer goods and services, and insurance and financial services. COIP targets companies with enterprise values of between $2 and $20 million.

The partners of COIP have over 30 years of investing experience, and founded the Private Equity Group of Charter Oak Partners (“COP”) in 1992 and founded Charter Oak Capital Partners (“COCP”) in 1997. The partners have a long successful history of investing in smaller companies with strong growth opportunities, helping them achieve their full potential through internal growth, professionalization and complementary acquisitions. COIP takes a hands-on approach to all advisory and investment opportunities, investing significant amounts of personal capital in each transaction. The partners will draw on their extensive network of advisors and capital sources, including the limited partners of COP, COCP and COE, to help smaller growth companies realize their full potential. As advisors and investors, COIP can assist companies at many levels, providing a comprehensive growth package for both minority and majority investments. By accessing its broad network of financial lenders, deal finders, and active and retired executives COIP can provide solutions to all possible needs of portfolio companies.

Currently, COIP has five companies in its portfolio, Space Optics Research Labs a specialty optics manufacturer for research and military applications (2006), American Church Mortgage Company specializing in debt instruments to multi-denominational institutions (2006), Texcel Medical specializing in implantable device engineering and manufacturing (2007), Advanced Metal Machining specializing in high tolerance aerospace machining (2007) and, Circle Medical Devices specializing in medical product engineering and manufacturing (2008).
