Charter Oak Equity, LP (COE) was formed in 2006. The firm invests in niche manufacturing, medical products and financial services companies with enterprise values between $20 and $150 million.

The general partners average over 20 years of investing and operating experience and have worked together at Charter Oak Capital Partners since 1999. COE’s Investment Philosophy can be summarized as follows:

Capture value through a Successful Exit to the right buyer

Currently, COE has five companies in its portfolio. Our most recent investment (7/08) is Milwaukee Gear, which is a specialty gear manufacturer and heat treat service provider. Circle Medical Devices (3/08) specializes in medical device engineering and contract manufacturing.  Texcel, a neuro-stimulation products and engineering services company, was acquired in 2007. Aylward Enterprises, a manufacturer of packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, was acquired in 2007.  Parish Pay and Smart, providers of tuition and parish collections services, were acquired and merged in 2006.  The general partners have personally invested in all of these transactions.
